Greece - Lefkada, Ionian Sea
Lefkada belongs to the Ionian Sea. Lefkada is connected to the mainland with a bridge. The most famous beach is Porto Katsiki. Lefkada is surrounded by a total of 24 islets - Aristotele Onassis Skoreos being one of them. Turks, Venetians, French and British occupied the island. In 1804 it became part of Greece along with the other Ionian sea Islands.
