Chile - Mapuche people


The Mapuche (also known as Aracuanians) are an indigenous group of Chile and southwestern Argentina, known for their historical resistance against the Inca and Spanish. Today, they are the largest indigenous group in Chile, making up about 10% of the population

  • The name "Mapuche" means "people of the land" in their native language, Mapudungun.

Chile - Sand Pedro de Atacama with Moon Valley in the Atacama desert



   
San Pedro de Atacama is a small desert village with unpaved streets, houses made of clay and straw and no higher than 2 floors. 
On 2nd February (summer) there is a carnival in honor of Virgin "de la candelaria". Dancers in amazing outfits comes from Chile and Bolivia to dance the "Diablada".
