Canada - Hesquaht First Nation (Nuu-chah-nulth First Nation)

Hesquaht women made the cedar bark apparel and baskets in this image.  Seaweed and other seafood were primarily collected by women on the Northwest Coast.  1914

The Nuu-chah-nulth also formerly referred to as the Nootka, Nutka, Aht, Nuuchahnulth or Tahkaht, are one of the Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast in Canada.
